we believe learning and creativity go hand in hand.

Our practice was founded to close the gap in how school psychology services are delivered by offering a comprehensive, culturally centered approach to understanding both learning and social-emotional well-being.

As an independent school psychology practice, we provide assessments and recommendations tailored to each student's unique needs, helping families and schools make informed decisions that support growth, confidence, and success.

Why CRAFT?

The name CRAFT represents both our commitment to Culturally Responsive Assessments for Teens and Tweens and the creative crafts we integrate into the therapeutic process. By combining clinical expertise with creative engagement, we help students express themselves and gain confidence in school and beyond.

Dr. Randle has over 15 years of experience working in both urban and suburban schools with students of diverse abilities, from those with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges to those identified as gifted. Having worked with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in both underfunded and well-resourced schools, Dr. Randle has a deep understanding of the importance of culturally responsive practices and how students' environments can impact their learning, achievement, and well-being.

Inspired by Dr. Randle's love for crafts and DIY projects, CRAFT Therapy was born. She integrates creative activities such as sewing, painting, and drawing into educational counseling, giving students a safe and engaging way to express themselves and share what affects their school experience.

Her mission is simple:

to help students be seen for who they truly are, beyond test scores and labels.

psychoeducational assessments

Comprehensive evaluations that identify learning strengths and challenges while honoring each student’s cultural and linguistic background. Our assessments lead to clear, actionable recommendations that help families and schools support student success.

  • We conduct culturally responsive assessments that take into account students' diverse backgrounds, including language, racial identity, and positions within their home, school, and community, and the impact of their experiences on learning and achievement. Evaluations conducted by the CRAFT Therapy (CT) team embrace students' backgrounds and view experiences as strengths to understand their learning differences.

Our assessments help to clarify why a student is demonstrating learning, processing, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges and work to craft a plan to meet their needs. Assessment may uncover areas of exceptionalities (Giftedness) where we provide tailored recommendations to support students with advanced abilities.

    Psychoeducational Assessment Types:

    • Specific Learning Disability Evaluation (dyslexia, dyscalculia)

    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Evaluation

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Evaluation

    • Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation

    • Executive Functioning Skills Assessment

    • Gifted Evaluation

independent educational evaluations (IEEs)

We provide independent, evidence-based evaluations for school districts and families seeking second opinions. Our IEEs ensure that each student’s unique learning needs are fully understood and represented.

  • At CRAFT Therapy, we offer Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for families and school districts who are seeking a comprehensive, unbiased understanding of a student's learning profile (e.g., academic strengths and weaknesses). IEEs are typically requested when parents/guardians or the school district seek a second opinion outside of the school-based assessments. Our evaluations are equity-driven, culturally responsive, and collaborative, designed to provide an unbiased understanding of a student's strengths and needs, along with integrative recommendations to support educational planning.

educational therapy

Personalized sessions that support academic skills, motivation, and emotional well-being. By integrating crafts and creative expression, we help students process experiences, build confidence, and rediscover the joy of learning.

  • Educational therapy is an intervention that combines academic and therapeutic techniques to support students facing learning challenges. Our goal with educational therapy is to provide a personalized plan to teach skills that help learners manage cognitive, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, ultimately improving their learning outcomes. At CRAFT Therapy, we focus on various emotional or behavioral differences that teach strategies to assist with:

    • Organization and Planning: Assisting students in developing essential executive functioning skills for planning, problem-solving, initiating school and home tasks, tracking progress, and adapting to changes within their environments.

    • Self-Esteem Enhancement: Helping students understand their unique learning profiles and develop strategies for success. We encourage students to view their learning differences as strengths, which can boost their confidence and self-esteem.

    • Effective Communication: Teaching students to express themselves clearly and actively listen to foster better interpersonal relationships and collaborative skills.
